  1. It was a HOT and MUGGY July Day in 2023 when me and my business partner decided to go and see just how painful this Payne's Valley Course really was. I have to say that from the Blue Tees it was pretty brutal. We had worked our way down the valley and played several holes realizing the name of the Course was very fitting. The beautiful scenery did soften the blow to our somewhat high scores. As we got to holes 16 (a 204 yard par 4) we were ready for another tough hole to humble us in our efforts to respectfully play this course. I hit a hybrid and it had a slight slice to it. The ball hit on the right side and rolled off the hill onto the green toward the flag and then it disappeared. The twosome that had teamed up with us began screaming as I stood there speechless and not fully accepting that I "DID IT." I told them that I would not scream, shout or dance until I got to the hole and saw my ball in that little white cup. After the other three teed off, we went to the hole and sure enough there it was...my FIRST hole in one! The marshal and some other workers were close by and saw this grand event unfold. I was awarded a course flag and some pictures by the staff. I know Tiger would be proud of me for mastering a hole on his signature course. p.s. I did not even hit the green on the 19th hole that is setup just for the opportunity for a hole in one...maybe next time.
