  1. Hi TT:

Thanks to some great unseasonable weather last weekend, my wife and I had the pleasure of taking two of our grandsons to the range for the first time ever. As their parents compete in other sports and have never been golfers, we will have the opportunity to introduce them to all the joys and sorrows golf provides.

Everyone had a great time, two large buckets later, one of them came away and said golf is now his second favorite sport, football is first. He did remind us of a truism that I hope he and I remember, "If you are mad, you probably won't hit it well".

Maybe it was the company and watching them enjoy themselves, or maybe it was the off-season fitness routine and swinging the trainer, but the few balls they let me hit felt great.

Can't wait until the next time!

  2. Great story! Thats one of the best things about Golf, the interaction with others!

Memories of a lifetime...thanks for sharing. I don't have grandchildren (yet), but my wife and I introduced this wonderful game to our children. Our kids are young adults and I enjoy going out there and playing with them.

I like walking side by side with them as we chat about basketball and life...golf provides us this valuable time together.

Grandkids are the best! My 9 year old grandson loves going to the golf course with me; sometimes we even let his father tag along!

One of my favorite memories will be taking my son onto the course for the first time to play 9 holes. I think I was way more excited than he was... and I ended up carrying both bags, but it was still a great day!

    100% agree!!

The longer I play, the more I enjoy time with others - especially family & now with my son.
So much perspective and appreciation for the game.

    Enjoy the journey!

My wife and I have no children. All our family members live states away since we moved here in 1984. My daughter (from previous marriage) grew up and lives in the Republic of Texas and raised three grands who are all adults now. Would have been nice to have interacted more and introduced them to golf.

I introduced my kids to the game last year and they both love it. It's allowing me to build more memories and hopefully give them something they can pass down as well.
