After 50 years of playing golf with a handicap that has ranged between 4 and 15, I finally got my first hole in one at age 63. What was so gratifying is that it was not fluky but my swing and the strike were pure. I was posing and thinking it was going to be close (not thinking it would be in!). It landed 4-5 in front of the hole from 142. I saw it rolling and it disappeared. I couldn’t believe it! It was surreal. It felt strange to just go on to the next hole and keep playing. It felt like there should have been a pause for a trophy presentation or something!
