A dream comes true for me and my golf partner.

I found a ball plugged in the mud two feet from my Titleist Velocity on hole number 12. Cleaned it up and it was a like new Titleist NXT. I lost my Velocity on the par 4 13th hole. So out came my “new” NXT at the par 3 14th hole. I asked my playing partner of 48 years, my wife Sandy, if she could see the hole from the golf cart. She said she could, knowing I need help on occasion seeing my ball. Every time I went to play golf I promised to call her if I got a hole in one. I hit a high 7 iron that bounced high in front of the green, rolled in what seemed like slow motion and I let loose a yell that echoed in the woods. I turned around and there on the tee she stood, behind me, sharing a moment we could only imagine, the love of my life, my wife Sandy. We’ve been lucky to play some of the most picturesque and challenging golf courses and love everything about the game of golf. Her dad, Duke Larson, used Titleist clubs and balls and taught me the etiquette of golf. He was a greenskeeper at North Shore, where my hole in one occurred, and who taught me the game. I have his Titleist hole in one ball on my ball collection rack. Now it’s Sandy’s turn. Now it’s your turn sweetheart.
