Decided to get one last round in before the weather changed for good. It was 50 degrees and chilly. Got to the fourth hole and saw the tough pin placement tucked in the left corner. T9ld my playing partner as I set up to hit that I would just be happy hitting it on the green. Immediately after I swung I turned and said “Or just hit it in the hole!”. I knew it was close but couldn’t see the bottom of the flagstick. Drove up to the green and when I didn’t see my ball I knew it was in! Been playing for over 40 years and while I’ve holed out many times I thought a hole in one just wasn’t in the cards for me.
