A Much Needed Hole in One

As I woke up for a day of what I thought to be an added day to a boring and depressing week, I prayed that if I did not do anything special today I was going to hang the clubs up. Being 19 and a college golfer I have experienced a rough freshman year debating on whether to still play this rewarding yet heartbreaking game. I stepped up to the tee on the tough par 3 number 3 playing 205 yards, grabbed my 5 and 6 iron not knowing what club to hit. I watched my father and his friends hit there shots around 15 feet from the hole. I put my tee in the ground, placed my ball on the tee and went through my routine. I grabbed my Titleist CB 6 iron because I knew I wanted to be short of the hole and hit a decent shot. Everybody watched as the ball lined up with the pin in the air, took a bounce on the green and trickled into the hole disappearing from 205 yards away.

We all went crazy wondering if it went behind the hole or went in the cup. I got up to the hole, looked in the cup and saw my Titleist Pro V1X sitting pretty inside the hole. What a great sign to know that you are suppose to keep playing this game.
