It has been a year of struggle with back problems, knee surgery and some infections. I had spent some of the year just enjoying riding along with 3 grandsons as they learned the game and seeing the excitement in their faces when they hit a good shot. I started playing again a few weeks ago and struggled until this Wednesday, August 28th in the golf league. I felt strong and was hitting the ball well. I missed a 3' birdie on the first hole and kiddingly thought maybe something better was ahead. Par'd the next hole and got ready for the par 3 playing about 168 yds this day. Knowing it was into the wind, I went with a 5 iron and the flight was beautiful and right at the pin. It landed about 10' from the pin and hopped and rolled to the pin and disappeared. It was an exciting moment for the entire foursome and one we will not forget and a great finish to another season.
