On the previous hole, my brother in-law shanked one into the woods. When looking for his ball ,I came across a ball that had Ace Club printed on it. I threw it in my pocket, finished the hole and went onto the next. Hole 14—146-yard par 3. The shot looked great and when it hit the green I saw it spin towards the hole and asked if that went in. I was immediately laughed at and said I went deep off the back of the green. Well guess what, he was wrong! Stuck it 12 feet behind the hole and it spun back into the cup. 25+ years playing this game and finally had my first ace. What an amazing feeling with an even better celebration later on.
