Beers on me!

It was on the 11th hole at Sapphire National Golf Club in Sapphire, NC. 186 yard 6-iron was the perfect stick executed with a classic baby draw. As the ball was peaking my father-in-law said, "this is looking good Hovi..." I began squinting as I usually do in order to see the ball land, and as it was rolling toward the pin the little white dot on the green disappeared. It took me a solid 1.5 seconds to process what in the world could make a ball disappear right in front of us. Then began the screaming, jumping, and high fives followed with the classic Arnold Palmer cap toss! After settling down for a hot second we all heard a voice from high up on the mountain side. It was coming from a resident on his back porch yelling to us "did someone just get a hole in one!?" I yelled back at the gentleman "Yes sir I sure did!" We never saw the man through the trees that day, but I invited him to meet us at the 19th hole. I have lettered on the Plant High School golf team in Tampa,FL, worked for the Carolina's Golf Association, and earned the P.J. Boatwright Scholorship. I am honored and grateful to have accomplished all of these throughout my life, but this moment was the greatest moment of my golfing career! August 18th, 2017
