Fireworks on the 4th
By Jason L On 6 August 2019
My name is Jason and after years of golf, I finally got my first hole-in-one this summer! I’ve been playing with my Titleist clubs (AP1 712) for a few years now and was so amazed that my ball finally found its way home in the bottom of the cup! On a beautiful Independence Day, I joined my wife and brother for a round of golf at our home course in Ferndale, Washington. On the final hole of the day, I approached the Par 3, 130-yard hole with no real expectations. As I stepped up to address the ball, I was talking aloud about my set-up and sharing my swing thoughts, "just a nice easy 8 iron - no need to crush it." As I made contact, I immediately knew I had found the sweet spot. I kept talking about how nice the flight of the ball was and that this was going to be a good shot. We saw it bounce once right before the green and the land softly on it, roll a few feet and then simply disappear! I got to admit, I lost my mind for a moment and threw my hat into the air and ran around in a huge circle only to have my wife just about tackle me as I jumped for joy. I won't ever forget my first hole-in-one - and on such a special day too! I lost my best friend and golf partner to cancer last year so I'm dedicating this milestone to him - I miss you, Ernest! Thanks for reading!
