I hit my first hole in one this month… It was number eight out at Santiam Golf Course in Stayton Oregon, 155 yards to a back left pin placement guarded by the front bunker. I hit a perfect 8 iron and my Titleist Pro V 1 found its way to the bottom of the cup 155 yards away. It was an incredible feeling to finally get one, and I would gladly pay the bar tab again to get another anytime. The coolest part of this story is, I hit the hole in one on the birthday of one of my favorite aunts. Aunt Charlotte was an avid golfer in her day and in fact she had several holes in one herself, she passed quite a few years ago and I can’t help but wonder if she had a hand in me making my first.
