First hole in one

I have been playing golf for 44 years. I have come close to making a hole in one on numerous occasions, until today. It’s October 31, 2020 in Firestone Colorado. I am playing golf with Bob Clair, Terry Lammers and former 1976 Super Bowl Champion from the Oakland Raiders, Terry Kunz. We are on the 8th at Saddleback Golf Course. We are playing the gold tees and the hole is playing approximately 168 yards. The wind is blowing 20-25 mph from left to right. The tee box is elevated and the green is elevated. There are bunkers on the front left and back left portions of the green. I was trying to decide between a 6 or 7 iron due to the elevation and wind direction. I decided on a 7 iron and I struck the ball perfectly. We watched the ball fly towards the pin, but none of us could see the ball land on the green due to the glare from the sun. The four of us approached the green and we saw only one golf ball in sight. It was white and I knew that ball wasn’t mine since I play a yellow Pro V1X. My first reaction was that my tee shot went over the green and into the bunker. I looked around and didn’t see my ball anywhere in sight. Bob Clair then observed the ball in the cup and we all started yelling and fist pumping. Terry Kunz then said, “the last place you ever look is in the cup”. We all laughed at that profound statement. I will never forget this day. Thank you Titleist for making this happen with my AP1 7 iron and Titleist golf ball.
