First hole in one
By Chris M On 23 May 2019
I began playing golf in 1985. It only took 34 years but I was fortunate enough to finally make a hole in one. I bought a fresh sleeve of AVXs before my round (yellow so I could see the ball better my girlfriend suggested...haha). We came to the 6th hole. The pin was back left, so I took out an 8 iron to not go long. I hit a decent shot which just cleared the left greenside bunker. The landing is blind yet I did see a small hop forward. My playing partner liked the line and was more excited than I was. We had played the course many times so nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He had pulled his shot to the right of the green and asked me not to walk up so we could walk up together. Now that was out if the ordinary. He hit his pitch and we started our walk up to the small elevated green. When we got up to the green, there was no ball on the surface or long. At that point I realized that the impossible may be possible. We approached the hole and looked down...and the pic below is what I saw. The golf gods looked upon me well that day for sure.
