I was playing at the Gleneagle Golf Club in Hudsonville, MI. The 17th hole is a 128 yard par 3 with the green guarded by two front bunkers and one off the back side. I hit an easy 9 iron with a slight draw to the shot. I liked how the ball came off my club and because of the ball flight I anticipating that I would have a decent opportunity to make birdie. The ball bounced once and rolled toward the hole. Suddenly it was gone! I was stunned. I have been playing golf for decades and this was my first ace! The most fun part was the way my friends celebrated with me.
