I took my father golfing for a belated Father's Day outing on July 27, 2019. It was the first time I had played at the Rockledge Golf Club. I was not hitting well on the front nine, but my luck changed on the 8th hole! It is a 121 yd par 3. I teed off with an 8 iron, and the ball landed perfectly on the green and rolled a little. When we drove the cart up to the green I didn't see my ball, and I assumed it wasn't as good a shot as I had thought and it must have rolled off the green. One of the guys we were playing with ran over to the hole and shouted, "it's in the hole"! An exciting occurrence for a lovely Father's Day celebration!
