Hole in one
By SGREENER On 26 January 2019
I was in a charity event for my cousin's hockey team, playing with my Dad and 2 brothers. #7 at Timber Trace Golf Club was paying at 187 yards with a slight wind right to left. It was a Vegas hole - double your money if you're within 15 feet. They had someone at the green and the tee talking cafe of that. The local car dealership was sponsoring the par threes and this particular hole was a 5 day trip to Vegas fit a hole in one. My brother put down $40 for all of us to play the Vegas hole and I went first since I was ready. I hit my Titleist DCI black 5 iron pretty flush but just a bit right of the flag stick. The wind and an ever so slight draw landed it short and right off the hole. The ball (a Pro V1 of course) took one hop toward the hole and rolled right in!
Mass jubilation ensued, being in a charity event, I was a celebrity for a day.
The trip to Vegas was nice but I'm happier that I got to share it with my Dad (my absolute hero) and two brothers.
Thanks for letting me share.
