Twice As Nice

Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Playing at my club, NCR Country Club, in Dayton, Ohio. With my regular foursome (who by the way everyone in the group has a hole-in-one, and me too now, within the last 12 months). So playing the difficult 2nd hold on the South course, I hole my tee shot, 136 yards, with my pitching wedge, the ball landed a couple yards beneath the hole, took one bounce, spun left, and down it went. I was in shock. On to Thursday, August 8, 2019. Again, playing at my club, with the same guys. 2nd hole, pin is back at 145, playing into the wind and I hit an 8 iron. I swing, I stripe it, my buddies are exclaiming “it’s all over the pin, no way it can go in again!”. And it did, boom, same hole, different clubs, consecutive days. Seriously?! Well, needless to say I was completely shocked and still am today. The chances are like 5.7 million to 1!
