Stepped up to the 5th hole on the Arnold Palmer course at Speidel Golf Club at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV(where I’m from) It was a par 3 playing 170 yards or so pin in the front.. I was talking normal tee box talk to my buddies.. “sometimes I hit it right, sometimes left and sometimes right down the middle..” As I waggled... I had my 6 hybrid in hand as my buddy was about to hit a 9 iron I felt a nice back swing good follow through head down! Look up and it looked awesome but I thought it might be a little long! I’m yelling “SIT SIT SIT!” My buddy says “that looks pretty good!” Bounce bounce disappears! I ran all the way down the fairway screaming everybody on the course that could hear me were going nuts and reminding me I buy the booze at the clubhouse I gladly did! That’s the story of my hole in one! One of the greatest days of my life!
