Hello my golfing friends.
Wanted to share with you some news... I chalked up my first hole-in-one on Sunday!! Hole 16 at the St. Cloud Country Club. Was playing 186 yrds, to a raised green, into the wind, pin center left, about 5 paces off the left fringe. My trusty old Rescue 3 (19 degree) did most of the work. Ball landed left of the pin and spun to the right then disappeared. The guys I was playing with said "it went in, it went in the hole." I would not let myself believe it. I said, "no, it just stopped right behind the pin, bet when we get up there it will be 4 feet away." When I got to the green and didn't see a ball, I checked the back of the green before I poked my head over the hole... disbelief turned to never before felt joy as I extracted my ProV1x, #4, from the cup.. haven't stopped smiling since!!
Our club has a very cool Hole-in-One policy. Every member at the club the day of the hole-in-one gets a free drink. Every membership is charged $5.00 for every hole in one, the resulting kitty pays for our end of the year party/golf tournament. Our hole-in-one's are sponsored by Grey Goose. I received a 1.75 ltr of Grey Goose for my accomplishment, as well as some not so sarcastic comments from our Food & Beverage Manager Tom and our GM Rollie. I got my hole-in-one on Mother's Day, the busiest day in the club house all year with 5 sold out "Mother's Day Brunch" seating's. Needless to say, my hole-in-one was not only the first at our St.Cloud Country Club this year, but sure to be the most expensive in regards to the number of free drinks.
Hope you are all well.

p.s. precedent has been establish, I must golf every Mother's Day....chasing the dragon.
