I play with a regular group every Wednesday afternoon. I have seen all of my playing partners make a ace over the last five years and I finally got my turn. It happened on the 5th hole at Mission Bay Golf Course in San Diego. Only 121 yards but it still felt great. When I hit the shot I thought that I had came up short of the green and a yard to the right of the pin. When the ball landed it was a couple of yards short of the green, but released forward and bounced on. At that point I felt relief that it had made it on the putting surface and started looking for my tee when my playing partners said it went in the hole. I still didn't believe it until I got to the green and lifted my Titleist ProV1 out of the cup.
