I made my first ace one week after my 50th birthday! I was playing in a Memorial Day Couple’s Tournament with my wife and our good friends the Millsaps. It was the 3rd hole at Avalon Golf and Country Club, our home course, and I hit an 8 iron from 148 yards. I was playing a Titleist AVX. The ball landed about 2 feet directly in front of the flag and hopped in. The thrill of a lifetime for a long time 5 handicapper!
