My first Ace in 43 years
By Manny G On 3 November 2018
Just another Wednesday morning on September 26th 2018. Playing Madrona Links Golf course in Gig Harbor, Washington. I aced the difficult 3par on hole#12. 147yards, with my 7 iron. Using my favorite Titeist ball. This hole is the most difficult to even par because you have to land the ball off the green to the right and let the ball roll on the 25 degree slope. I was playing with a foursome, and I was first on the tee, and hit a perfect shot which landed off the green and was rolling on the green. The ball was visable until in passed through the shadows of two large pine trees and disappeared. As I walked towards the green, I saw a ball on knoll just off the green approximately 12 feet off the green. I assumed that was my ball. But the closer I got to the ball I saw it was a green ball that my partner used. I was reluctant to look in the hole, but my partner yelled at me to look in the which I dreaded. Then I did and yelled the loudest sound heard by my golf buds. S Ace cost me $122 in drinks at the club house, burl was worth every penny.
