I've been playing golf for over 30 years and had been close a few times, but that's what everyone says. Hole #5 at Highland is slightly downhill and was playing about 120 yards. I used my 48 degree and hit it perfect. I made a comment that it should be "pretty good" which got my buddies attention because he wasn't watching my tee shot. He looks up to see where my ball will land and I am tracking it in the air. It hit about a foot past the hole and bounced back into the cup. We both looked at each other and then back to the green to verify what we thought just happened. Then we both lost it. Neither one of us had ever seen or had a hole in one. I will never forget it.
