It was a cold early Wednesday morning on April 17 - Tee time was around 6:20 AM. not my usual golfing day, by mistake I set up the Tee time from Sunday to Wednesday, I did not want to cancel, so I went to play, this morning there was nobody ready to play, all the players waiting for some friends so I decided to play by myself and practice my game and my swing. it was a usual day, I am a bogey Player, I had some pars on par threes and missed some on pars on par 4's. hole #11 is a downhill Par 3 and the green slopes in the direction of the Tee boxes, I did not play the short hole #10 par 4 very good. When I arrived at hole #11, I notice the blue T's are at the back of the Tee box. and the flag was in front of the green, I was only able to see part of the top of the flag. I pulled my laser to estimate the distance. it gave a 125 yardage. usually, I hit my pitching wedge, I hit my irons very high, this day was not the exception, I grabbed my 9 iron for an easy swing, I set up with the ball a little bit behind the middle of my stance, after hitting the ball, I observed the very high flight of my ball it was going on the direction of the flag and came to my mind that is going to be short of the green. while driving the cart done the hill on the cart path, I was getting ready for a chip and a putt that will give me a par on this hole. however, looking to the front of the green where my ball should be, I was unable to see it, turn into the green and was not there, immediately came into my mind, no way is in the hole, stop the cart and walk fast to see if it was true, and Yes, my ball went over the flag and landed a few inches from the hole and backspin into the hole by luck, the golf course superintendent pull in the see the green and I showed him my divot and the ball location in the hole, he signed my cart and told me to take it to the pro shop. I got a nice certificate.
