My first Hole-in-one

I have been playing golf my entire life and although I’ve come painfully close to making a hole in one, it never happened. That was until a few weeks ago. I was playing with my regular ‘once a month’ group at our regular site. I was playing well that day and came to the 16th hole, a 315 yard par 4 with a blind uphill tee shot. I pulled out driver and gave it a rip right on line. I was used to being on or near this green from the, so I was shocked when I didn’t see my ball right away. Our group spent a good five minutes searching around the green. I was about to give up the search when my father in law asked if I’d checked to cup. I laughed and said no. He walked over to the cup, looked in and laughed while saying, “you may want to check the cup”. I walked over, looked in and couldn’t believe my eyes. After 30 years of golfing, I’d finally made my first hole in one...on a par 4.
