Partner Scramble With My Wife
By Andrew G On 21 July 2019
Playing in a Couple's Scramble with my wife and another couple, I teed off 1st on number 7. Pin was back-right, over a bunker and the hole was not visible from the tee box, just the top of the pin. Rangefinder measured 154 yards to the pin. I hit a nice, smooth shot with Pro V1 with an 8-iron. From what we could see, I dropped it right onto the pin. I knew I was close, but did not witness it roll into the cup. After the other three golfers teed-off, we took our time getting up, found everyone's ball except for mine. Walking past another ball which was only about five feet from the cup, realizing it wasn't mine, I glanced into the hole. Seeing my ball in the hole was exhilarating! My first hole-in-one ever and I got to share it with my wife! It was very special. Needless to say, we won the skin, and the tournament thanks to that shot. Later, after the round, we went into the clubhouse and they actually had video recording cameras on that hole. We got to play it back on the tv and watch it happen.
