I was playing with my dad in my course’s annual father/son tournament. We reached the par 4, 14th, playing 299 yards (nine hole course so hole #5 back tees). The format was best drive and alternate shot in, so my dad goes first, places it on the fairway allowing me to full send it. Off contact it felt like an ok drive, figured it was in the left rough if not the bunker in front of the green. All of a sudden the people on the next tee box go nuts, running up the fairway, arms above their heads... it was in da hole. Apparently it soft bounced in the rough on top of the bunker and trickled in. It was my first hole in one and first double eagle. But the best part was having my dad their to witness it!!
