I experienced my first hole in one on Sunday, October 13, at Tanasai Golf Club in Loudon, TN. It was the 8th hole and the distance was approximately 145 yards. I used my 5 iron. It was a beautiful shot. My only regret was that I did not watch the ball roll in to the cup. I didn’t realize it was in the hole until my husband and I pulled up to the green and we did not see my ball anywhere. I knew it was a good shot, so I knew it would not have rolled off the green. Once it hit me that my ball might be in the hole, I bolted from the cart running toward the hole. And there it was in the cup! I was jumping up and down celebrating. The green was partially surrounded by water. There was a pontoon boat that dropped anchor next to the green and a couple was laying out in the sun. They saw me jumping up and down and asked if I just got a hole in one. So it was cool that I got to celebrate and share the news right away with people.
