Surprise!

I was trying to qualify for a tournament in 1979 when I was in high school and was sick as a dog. Not wanting to miss out on a chance to play and qualify for the state tournament I slogged my way through the round and the last hole was a 200 yard par 3 with a hill halfway down that allowed you to only see the top half of the pin. I hit a solid 5 iron with a pretty good right to left breeze and it was tracking the entire way. When we got up to the green it looked like none of us had hit the green and we couldn't find mine long, short, left or right, until I looked in the cup and saw the welcome sight of my Titleist DT grinning up at me like it had stolen something. I have hit the pin a lot in the years that have followed but that was the only one that fell and forever from that moment forward Titleist has been my brand. Thanks for the last 40 years to all the folks at Titleist that go the extra yard for those of us that love this game.
