Buzzed It

After a disappointing front 9 I decided to change strategies and began drinking semi-heavily to alleviate the pain of my current play. Fortunately it worked! I began to turn the game around and it was never more evident than on the 15th hole. This hole, known as "The Island Green," at Rooster Run Golf Club in Petaluma, CA was playing at 116yds from the white tees that day, with a slight headwind. And to be clear, it's not a true "island" but is 75% surrounded by water... roughly. In any case, I decided a well struck gap wedge was the right decision. I struck my Pro V1x well as it landed roughly 14ft beyond the pin, which was playing up front, the green sloping back to front. Both my playing partner and I watched as it slowly began rolling back down towards the pin and eventually disappeared in the cup! We yelled, we hugged and we kept drinking to celebrate my 3rd ace! What a magical moment it was!
