Team Quota

Was playing in a fall killer-quota tourney. My partner and I were struggling but trying to stay in it. I had just made a birdie on #12 (after losing a ball on 11) and was pumped about starting our back nine comeback. I was the first to tee off and jumped right into it as one does after coming off a great hole. The club feedback told me immediately that I had hit a solid shot. I watched the trajectory of the ball as it head downhill, over a water hazard and toward the short pin on the 130yd hole. I saw the ball hit the green a few feet in front of the pin, but then it disappeared into the late day shadows. My partner was preoccupied by the bushes and said "that sounded good, did you find the green" I looked at the rest of the group for feedback but no one saw anything. I said "I think it might be in the cup..." Waiting for the three of them to tee off and drive down to the green took an eternity. As we got closer it became obvious that the ball wasn't in the shadows behind the pin...I had, in fact aced the hole! I was elated and my body pulsed with electricity! Thankfully I was playing with some seasoned players who took the time to stop playing, took my picture and (after the next hole) remind me to take that ball out of play. I finished with an average round of 83 for me, but the ace was the difference between tying for 5th or winning the tourney! It was a great day!
