I did not think it would ever happen for me. After 33 years, thousands of rounds, tens of thousands of holes played, I just did not think it would happen. I knew when I hit my Titleist 962 6-iron, it would be close, but I did not believe my playing partner when he said it went in the cup! I have hit pins, had balls stop an inch short in the jaws, and had balls stop on the other side of the cup with no reasonable explanation of how they did not drop. So when I peered at the bottom of the flag, I did not expect to see a ball. But on May 6, 2012, the golf gods smiled at me. There in the bottom of the cup was my Titleist Pro V-1 #3 with my black dot!
