I always struggled with the tee shot on hole 17 at Metamora Golf and Country Club in Metamora Michigan. I had 9 iron in hand and my playing partner Nate said it was playing 143 but there was a right to left wind. I decided the right to left might hit my ball harder because I am left handed. I switched to the 8 iron and dropped my Titleist NXT Tour S ball on the tee box. I liked how it was sitting so I decided not to use a tee. I hit it solid and watched it hit 8 feet from the stick and spin right to the stick and into the hole. I was using a Titleist 712 CB * iron. In my 20 years of playing golf I had never seen someone make an ace and I was glad the first one I witnessed was mine.
