We were on our annual trip to Treetops for three days of golf. The second day we played the Fazio Premier and the first 10 holes wore me out. I stood on the 11th tee and saw the narrow green ahead with a front pin. Everything seemed to be playing longer so I chose my trusty old 11 wood and hit a nice high straight shot that I was sure found the green. However, when I got to the green, I couldn't see my ball. Then I thought it must have rolled off into the rough toward the water. Something made me walk up to the hole and look in. There was my ball laying at the bottom of the cup. I turned to my playing mates and calmly said, "I think I just got a hole in one". That was the beginning of a lot of celebrating. I just wish I had instant replay so I could have seen it go in. One more thing off my bucket list.
