Golfing with the boss and another colleague, we were stealing a late September. I was playing my best round of the year when we came to #8. 154 yard hole, playing 162 yards to an elevated green, right-white flag protected by a bunker and hill behind it. Ball looked to bounce on the hill and I expected it to be on the right front fringe. Ball mark was 4 feet right of the pin, so I looked behind the green as I had hit a 6 rather than a 7. No ball to be seen, my colleague said “there’s only one place on this green that ball could have gone. Please, just look in the cup.” There it lay!! It took 40 years but chalk up my Ace...it is witnessed and attested. Great day- thanks to my partners David and Rick.
