WENT THRU THE LIST OF TITLEIST AMBASSADORS AND WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND ANYONE PLAYING THE NEW AVX GOLF BALL. DOES ANYONE ON TOUR PLAY THIS BALL?

No, not at this time. Brandel Chamblee qualified for this year's Senior British and played the AVX those days. We might over time see someone else play it but it's really not designed to do what most pros want their ball to do.

There is one woman golfer that suffers excessive spin with her wedge shots and the AVX may improve her short game. To note, she is not a Titleist user today. Most pro's can and want the highest spin they can control, from spinning back to checking on 1 hop on a low pitch. It may catch on with some LPGA players that don't rely on high spin today.

The top three I play are: Pro V1, AVX, Pro V1x in that order. It usually windy where I play. The lower trajectory and good performance cutting through the wind of the AVX- it's great in cold weather also. I don't always put the Pro V1x in play unless I'm hitting it well enough.

I found an AVX yellow ball whilst looking for my partners ball. Having read about the attributes of AVX I thought I would use it on the next hole. To my complete surprise the ball seemed to feel soft and flew further than any other Drive that day. My main concern when using the super soft type of ball ie cally was getting long putts up to the hole, tha AVX seemed to react better. I much prefer the ProV 1 but I think The AVX will take it,s place for me. I am 76 and losing distance so feel around the greens is all important for me to play to beat my handicap. I will probably buy some when I run out of my other Titleists

Gotta agree with ya Dale... So to answer the question, I do not know anyone gaming the AVX on tour.. I'm curious if any of the pro players has ever tried it?

I love the AVX, especially the yellow. They have ousted the TP5X from my bag for now, especially since I now have 6 dozen! I’ve gained at least a 1/2 a club with my irons, and extra roll off the driver. I hit 3 shots with my Exotics EX9 3w further than ever! 287, 292, and 302!

I do like the AVX and am leaning more to making it my number one ball. I normally only play in senior tournaments but this labor day weekend I played in a three day men's invitationals tournament and due to the increase in distance and less spin I opted to leave the Prov1s in the bag. At 72, I figured I would try one more time to play with the young guns and it has been a few years since I had played the big boy tees. I had played with the AVXs for a period of a month to get a good feel for the ball with every club so I would not be at a loss with my distances. On Friday I put two #4 AVXs in my pockets (one in each) and we teed off. Had the same two balls when we finished on Sunday. I was able to keep up with and exceed most of playing partners who were in their 50's. Staying in the middle of the fairways does make golf easier. Did have some issues with the mid-irons because playing from the senior tees, where I normally play from, my iron play is usually in the nine to wedge category. Big difference. Should have practiced more. Bad Chuck!!!!! The greens were running 11 on Friday, 12 on Saturday and 11 on Sunday and if you hit the ball above the hole, forget it. The AVX performed well. I did not play my best, but I cannot blame that on the ball, it was all the Indian's fault, but I did manage to put together a few good holes on the back nine on Sunday and won my flight by four strokes. The ball rolled very nicely on these fast greens and I did not have to pull the parachute but a couple of times. I did pick up a very nice tee gift of the new Pro/SLs (Black BOAs) and with my gift certificate ordered a new pair of the Red/White/Blue Pro/SLs that are coming out October 1st. For the AVX ball, well my partner and I will be using it when we step up to the first tee at the Sea Pines Country Club Member/Guest tournament in Hilton, October 11th - 14th, for five nine hole matches on Friday and Saturday. He is hoping to have the new TS2 and a new set of AP3s for the tournament. Me, I will be working on my iron play. Team Titleist will definitely be looking good at this event. AVX is the real thing and I highly recommend it. If you are a spinner and want to cut down, go AVX, Cheers, Chuck....... =)

Getting back to subject at hand; "Does anyone on tour play the AVX ball?" James I too, went thru the list of every tour worldwide listed under the above TOUR category and if there was a PGA/LPGA players using the AVX, I am sure it would be on that list. So I would safely say the answer is a definite no.

Played a tourney few weeks back and my buddy was gaming a new bag got there and he realized that he left his golf balls on the bench in his garage luckily I had a couple dozen with me so I loaned him a dozen AVX. He has never been a Titleist playing guy until now. After a great weekend of play and winning his flight today he returned my dozen of balls after he bought 5 dozen of his own. One more convert in the fold now.

Good lord, it is long. Once my sizeable stash of personalized ProV1's is gone, the AVX goes into the bag to stay. It'll probably be in the bag at the TT event at Kiawah Island next month
