  1. Titleist sent me a sleeve and I have to say it is a good ball. I like the soft feel but didn’t loose much distance off the tee, I usually play the Pro V1X but I did like the controllability around the green. I don’t mind the red lines for putts but it could have been better designed. Just my opinion.
  2. Had the chance to use these and they are real good. I love a soft ball and have hit them all. Was using Titleist DT soft which was good but the Tru soft is superior. Amazing feel with all clubs but especially with short irons, wedges and putter. Best ball I have ever used for putting...

Any idea when they are being tested in the UK through Team Titleist?.
  4. Can somebody tell me the difference between the DT/soft, True Feel and Tour Soft???????

I've been playing the Tour Soft's for awhile and like them but??........why 3 different versions of a "soft" ball Titleist??
  5. I believe that the TruFeel is the replacement/next generation of the DT TruSoft so the TruSoft won't be available any more. The Tour Soft is said to have a "penetrating" flight whereas my playing with the TruFeel makes me believe that it flies higher. Thus the difference. Some players like a lower flight and choose the Tour Soft, while others (like me) prefer a higher flight and will go with the TruFeel. Hope this helps.

So, as far as I can come up with, the TruFeel sits directly between the DT TruSoft and the Velocity range. Basically, this is a hybrid from the way that it plays - the feel of the DT and the Speed of the Velocity. It wouldn't shock me in the least to have the TruFeel replace both balls in retail channels in 2020. Basically the 6 tier lineup in Titileist's portfolio looks something like this:

DT TruSoft - softer feel, slower swing speed ball
Velocity - firmer feel, distance gaining ball
Tour Soft - softer feel, higher swing speed ball
AVX - softer feel, mid-spin, lower flight ball
ProV1 - firmer feel, mid-high spin, mid flight ball
ProV1x - firmest feel, high spin, high flight ball

The TruFeel should sit directly where the TruSoft and Velocity are - softer feel, distance gaining ball for any speed swing.

Just my impressions on the ball after playing them, but it seems to be a simple case of them releasing the perfect ball to help consolidate the lower end lines. They seem to be dumping quite a few "tour line" balls on the market at the moment with the EXP, left dash, star, etc...

I could be totally wrong though, guess they will have more information at the 2020 PGA Show.

Titleist sent me a sleeve as a Team Titleist member, to play and evaluate. My next game is tomorrow, so I will try them out then. They look interesting.
  9. I got a pack of these to try from Titleist. I live on a par 3 hole and took these out tonight after work to try them out. They are soft but not mushy like the cally super soft.
Putting, I really liked the feel off the putter face and they rolled nicely. I liked the alignment aid.
Chipping, they where lively off the face but had a pretty good bit of spin off my gap wedge.
Full shot, very impressed. Flew a little high but i hit the ball high normally. Seemed to be checking really well. So i had my 14 year old who loves golf stand by the green as i went back and hit again. From what he showed me from 100 yards or so i actually backed this ball up about 2 feet. The ball was right beside the divot so I'm pretty confident with what he said. I will try these out this weekend for a full coarse evaluation.
  10. Went out today with the 8 iron from back tees 150 yds and had the same results. First ball hit and stopped the other hit on a slight slope in the green and spun back.
Anyone else seeing this kinda performance? I have to say I'm taken back by the performance of this 2 piece ball. I will see this weekend about tee shots and overall performance but pretty surprised so far.

Based on the pics the red lines might be a tad much but I will wait until seeing one in person to make a final decision. I played yellow DT TruSofts this week-end and liked the feel and looks. Hopefully this TruFeel will be about the same...
  13. I am a titlest guy, always have been, but these are not good looking at all and its a 2pc ball.....the red ones look like they belong on a mini golf course. When do purple and pink come out?
  14. I bought a dozen over the weekend. Plan on trying them out tomorrow afternoon. Can’t wait.
  15. I played with the Truefeel today. I like the look especially the red lines that help with alignment. I compared the Truefeel with the cally Supersoft and the Maxfli Tour X w CG.

I got more distance with the Truefeel than either of the others. But only when I hit the sweet spot on the club (which is probably a function on my swing and not the ball) . While the box felt harder than the other two (I’m used to playing a soft ball, I.e. cally Supersoft) I still like the way it comes off the club face, straighter. Using the Truefeel Out of the tee box, I got more distance, fairway hitting: not much difference in distance; green side: nice up and down ball, I like the way it felt around the green; putting, much better than cally and Maxi...I could trust the Truefeel was a good “rolling” ball. Overall assessment: I like it enough to purchase this ball on a regular bases and would recommend it for my friends if they’re looking for more distance off tee and a great all-around golf ball. Thank you for letting me evaluate your product. I look forward to future evaluations.
  16. just purchased the exp-01, looking forward to giving them a try
  17. I like the way they looked with the red lines; they seemed longer than my other name brand balls; not quite as consistent off club face when you miss-hit, probably a factor of my swing and not the ball. I would purchase these and highly recommend them for someone wanting more distance.
  18. I got a sleeve of the true feel balls and had the opportunity to play them today. Long, high and straight off the tee. Seriously hit some of my longest ever drives. Ball seems to jump off the face almost springy like. It is very much a soft distance ball but with adequate spin around the green. I did not like putting with it though, because it seems hot off the putter face as well but to be fair I’m not a very good putter. Will I play them again? Absolutely, tee shots were so good I feel like I need to give it more time with the putter.

Had the chance to play these today. Come off the clubs soft. I did not notice and loss of yardage given my swing speed. They rolled out nice and putted true. Will play these again since weather here in the northeast is cooling off.
  20. I really like these new balls over the tru soft

  21. Absolutely love this ball. Always played the soft ball from the DTsolo then the true soft and now the true feel. Keeps getting better. I’m a 10 handicapper and 68 years old. Great feel and a tad longer. Great job Titleist

  22. Played 18 holes yesterday. This ball is going to be my “go to ball” in the future. Extra 5-10 yds. off the driver; great for short game-stops on a dime! Great off longer irons & hybrids. Not too happy with the over-sized red lines (distracting). With reasonable price this ball will fly off the shelves. (Please keep the cost low). Highly recommend this ball to all - especially Senior players.

The way I understand the new balls: The TourSoft replaced the NXT balls and the TruFeel replaces the DT balls......now we have Prov1, Pro V1x, AVX, TourSoft, Velocity, TruFeel......am 73, 11 handicapper and love the Prov1s....Titleist affords us a number choices, based on swing speed..... =)
