I have a long list of goals every year, mostly all them related to improving percentages on various specs tracked, but the main goals are:

GIR average above 55% from the blue tees (presently 49%)
Maintain handicap index at 5.5 or lower. (Presently 5.1)
Practice putting and short game and/or play virtually every single day.
Compete in minimum of two MSGA Senior Tournaments (Maryland)
Work at staying healthier than my actual age might suggest!=Gym work/yoga/cardio/diet

1 - Get clear to go back to golf. I just had back fusion on Oct 28th of 2019, I feel great, but I am no longer a youngling, so we will see what the doctor says
    2 - Walk my rounds.
3 - Enjoy whatever the game brings me. Maybe I get to break 90 again then 80, I know I am getting ahead of my self here.
4 - Hopefully win my work league again.
    Happy new year everyone.

Some pretty awesome goals by y'all, i believe you can do it! Myself as far as goals, I guess i haven't thought about it yet!

I would like to try to control the golf controllable's more and worry about what I can't control less. Such as my own demeanor or outlook, strategies on course, weather, decision making etc.

Best of luck to you all this upcoming season! Hope it gets here soon

    My 2020 Goals:

    - Win a "major" at my club

    - Play more in Thursday night league

    - Shoot a round(s) under par

    - Play 70+ rounds

    - Play more with my sons
  12. practice putting and try to establish some sort of putting game. I can't putt worth crap and don't know where to begin to fix the problem. Having birdie putts turn into bogey or double bogey is keeping me from reaching my goal of consistently shooting in the 70's. I'm stuck averaging a score of 80-84 per round because of the lack of sinking putts, so if anybody has any good tips for drills, training aids, advice, recommendations ect. I'm all ears. my biggest area of struggle is aiming and lining up. Good luck in the new year.
