I received the test sleeve last week.... I am 69 yrs. old... play to an 11 hdcp. Normally use pro v1-x due to spin rate on driver. The test ball that I've used for 3 rounds seems to behave very similarly to the pro v1-x that I've used to date. Often wonder if a ball that's a little softer might be better for me.... but the feel of both the v1 and v1-x around the greens is very hard to match for me... Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to try the prototype balls... I look forward to continuing my evaluation... and will let you know what I experience.... john y.
  2. I received the test balls yesterday. Just got home from my test ball round.
I'm a x fan, so I was pleased to receive x balls for my first test. After the third hole I brought them into play. Wow, very impressed they felt like an older black version, lots of spin, great feel, and pull them back on the greens. I use 2008 AP2 irons, and I thought I couldn't spin the ball any longer. I'm exited to see it was the ball. After a few holes of use I got comfortable with spin . I like that I can flight it off the driver easily. Great ball, can't wait for them to hit the market. Thanks for the opportunity to test, this is great !

Really? Thanks for the "test" balls but after playing 18 holes I could not tell any difference whatsoever between them and the ProV1x that I am currently playing. I felt no difference from tee to green or when putting or chipping.......okay....so you are messing with me and sent me the "placebo" balls.....huh?

I received a sleeve of test balls. Initial reaction is very good. They spin less off drives, for a little more distance than the ProV1x. The same quality around the greens as the ProV1x. I like how they putt, but just a little better than the ProV1x.

I've had the opportunity to test Titleist golf balls on 3 occasions. Have no idea what they were except I'm pretty sure the last one was a new Pro v1. It's interesting testing a golf ball when you have no preconceived notion of what the ball is "supposed" to do. You just play it and write down your impressions. If you get the chance, take it seriously and play the ball you were given at least 18 holes. Then log in and share your impressions.

Got a chance to play the new test balls today, the first thing I noticed was they felt softer than the pro v1x that I have been playing. Great feel and spin around the green. I will be playing these this year. Thanks Titleist keep up the great work.

Tried the test prototype balls you sent the other day and found them to play equally as well as the PROV1X I normally use. The only negative I found was that they "seemed" a little firmer at impact.

The last three you sent for testing were the best. Soft, long and manageable! Had been using Wilson Duo but these are just as soft and long and a better all around feel.

I received two sleeves of test balls. I don't know what Titleist balls they were...they were only identified by 1. a triangle, and 2. a square. Both balls performed well and I didn't notice a discernible difference between them. Quality of each relative to cover and color was excellent, remaining very clean and white. I normally play the ProV1...I would put these test balls on par with that ball.

Thank you Team Titleist, for the opportunity. I hope to have another test opportunity in the future.

Received a test sleeve today, I have the red numbered ball. I will be testing it Monday on a very good course and posting feedback that night. Thanks Titleist for this opportunity.

I received a sleeve over a year ago. My favorite call is the ProV1. These were noticeably different. More durable but less "feel" around on on the greens. They were comparable to the NXT which is also a good ball. I look forward to trying any equipment that Titleist is willing to send my way.

Just got a sleeve of "Test Balls" and tried them yesterday. With black 1 marking, assume they are ProV. They performed very well. They seemed about 10 yards longer off the tee and barely missed three fairways. Seemed softer and truer off the irons and held the greens well with minimal rollout. At 70, I outdrove my 50 and 52 year old playing partners consistently and shot a 79 from 6300 yards. Only second time this year. That also looked like they will take a beating. Send more.
  13. Hi I had received a 3 pack last year in October I ran out and played one of the most nervous round's to date that I have played At first not wanting to miss hit and loose the chance to give good feed back . After 5 rounds and only one lost test ball I wanted more I wrote my report and thanked titleist for allowing me the opertunity to participate thanks again still wondering what ball it was I was surprised when titleist sent a branded sleeve for helping . It was the new 2016 NXT S .I use to buy a ball that I thought was good after the program I pay allot more attention to the ball I play .And the 2016 NXTS still beats them all .

I loved the feel, not as long off the tee. I found the ball to be more durable (my balls love trees and cart paths), I did see an improvement from the first test balls, and thank you for telling me which ball I tested, the first balls were a mystery until this day. Thank You for helping me get the most out of my game!

Found them to be long enough off the tee to keep me happy. Spun like crazy off short irons and wedges. Would definitely buy this ball.

Loved the test balls I received last week. Excellent feel as always and noticed a little extra spin with the wedges. Great golf balls as always
  17. Although it's been a year or so, the last sleeve of test balls were great. I don't know what kind they were, but they were yellow and soft. Spin was reasonable, not ProV1 class, but adequate for hackers like me.
  18. Received my test sleeve too late in the season (November in Chicago is cold), so my first opportunity to play the test balls was this past April (which can also be cold in Chicago). The test balls were of the quality one expects from Titleist. There was a familiar feel to the balls off the tee, and they carried well. Also felt like the test balls checked up well on the green. As a 71 year old golfer (10 hdcp), I would play these golf balls without any hesitation. Enjoyed the experience and would love to be a tester in the future.

I had tried the test ball with red number and green side script. I routinely play the Pro V1, Bridgestone B330RX, and occasionally the chrome soft. I have not traditionally liked the feel of the Pro V1x. I am around a 10 or 11 but was better as a kid and can still spin the ball around the green. I like the new ProV1. The green ball reminded me of the feel of the old Top Flite Strata with the soft cover, did not have a hard click feel to it, felt solid but hard. I hit forged miz wedges and like the soft feel. Not to offend the Titleist nation but the thing I like about the B330Rx is that is seems to have a little more solid or hard feel but much more of a suttle change than the green script ball or the ProV1x. The TM Penta 5 layer had a very similar feel. The old swoosh One Tour D had this feel as well, and that is going back 15 years or so. I wish the Pro V1x felt like that. Sorry to meander around with numerous descriptions but if the hard feel is just a bit less noticeable around the green, would love to try that Pro V1x. Ever thought about adding another layer to mediate the feel factor and help conserve spin characteristics and other parameters of performance you are looking for?????

After playing the DT TruSoft balls you sent me I'm just plain spoiled. These balls are like nothing I have used before. They are soft on the drive and spin on the short irons. What else can you ask for ?
