Went in to visit my favorite shop in Mt Pleasant today (David Ayres Lowcountry Golf) a Titleist certified fitter to wish them a Merry Christmas. Started a conversation with their club repairer and also a fitter regarding a replacement hybrid. Looked in his Titleist bag and saw what I wanted and asked him if it was for sale, of course it was not. I have been looking for a Fujikura Motore Speeder HB 8.8 Tour Spec S shaft for a while and could not find one. He found a shaft that was close had me hit it in their bay. The results were not what we were looking for because it was a little heavy. While looking in their barrel of shafts he found the Fujikura Motore Speeder HB 8.8 Tour Spec S shaft for the 818h1 head and we tested it and he said Merry Christmas. Trackman does not lie. Pulled out the Golf debit so fast I almost dropped it. We also did some testing on my set up and took out my 15* fairway and adjusted one 816H1 to 16*, another 816h1 to 18* and added the 818h1 22.50* to the bag leaving room to return my 716AP3 52W to the bag. My fairway and 16* h1 were similar in distance and used the 16* more off the tee than the fairway. Will work on this setup over the winter and hoping for good results. Have so much confidence in that Motore Speeder shaft. Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus.

Oh, you never know what you're going to find when you walk into the golf shop. Like they say Chuck, timing is everything. Good luck with the new setup.

Played with it today and performed as expected. Love the new setup, but do a little work with the additional wedge. Has been a year or so since I used it and the driving range was closed this morning due all the rain we have had lately. Need to get the distance down with it. Used the new hybrid on my second shot on hole number ten (par five) and was putting for an eagle. My bad, read a break that was not there. Did make the birdie. See potential!!!!!!!
