I paid my first and hopefully not last visit to the TPI in Oceanside last Friday. All I can say is what an experience. From the moment I walked through the doors and was greeted by name, to spending a couple hours getting my irons/Drive/FW and wedges dialed in it was without a doubt the best fitting experience of my life.

I won't bore everyone with the whole breakdown of everything we tried, but will happily answer any questions.

In short, the fitting resulted in T300 Irons with the Tensei Red shaft TS1 Driver with 9.5 Fubuki 45g shaft My current 58K 14 degree SM7 wedge was a good fit for me, but I needed more bounce an different grind in the 54, so I will end up with a 54 F grind with 12 degrees bounce.

I was fortunate to work with Glen who I know may TT members have been fit by and I couldn't have asked for a better person. He was very patient during some of my wonky shots during the fitting, I guess it could be attributed to performance anxiety at a place like that.

Anyway, anyone who is thinking or anyone who hasn't even been thinking of going to TPI for any sort of fitting, should absolutely do it. It is the best value fitting you will find anywhere.

Thanks to Glen, Josh and Corey for such an unforgettable experience.

  2. Agreed, I was there in September, beyond world class experience.

...Better than a day at a 5 star spa (although my wife may disagree). I had the good fortune to have Glenn do a wedge fitting in the Midwest before he moved on to TPI. Also an excellent experience.

    I agree 100% with that!

Glen seemingly knows it all. The wedge fitting portion was one possibly the part I enjoyed the most. I already had 2 SM7's that I do pretty well with, so there wasn't a lot to change there.

I'm ready to go back next week...ha
  5. TPI Oceanside, made 2 trips and ready to go back. Need those new Irons! Nice to have all the options available for proper fitting. I was also fit by Glenn.
