Has anyone going through the complete fitting process at TPI Carlsbad, putter through driver? I am coming out to California and am considering scheduling a complete fitting and would like to know how it went. Thanks for any response.

I’m scheduled for a full bag fitting at TPI in early April. I’m really looking forward to it!

Never had the full bag experience. Primarily because hitting balls for 3 hours is a grind my body can’t handle.

I also want driver and all irons in hand to gap hybrids/fairways and wedges.

I did the full fitting (minus the putter), and it was a great experience. I learned a lot about club and ball technology. For a golf nerd there's nothing better.

I also did the full fitting except the putter and it was an awesome experience. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

I have done a full bag fitting at TPI but I broke it up into 2 different visits. Like Don O said in his post i could not hit balls for 3 straight hours.

I had to pay the fee twice but it was well worth it because I wasn't wiped out and received a better club fitting.

I did the full bag fitting this past Fri, minus the putter

Started me warming up with my irons. Then had me start hitting the Titleist 7 iron. Worked through the T100, T100S, and T200 with various shafts and options to see how they felt and how I hit the ball.

Moved me to a 3 iron, with pretty much the same process. Then driver and fairway

Next we moved greenside. He had 4 60 degree wedges and had me hitting to a front pin from about 15ish yards off the green. He didnt tell me which wedge was which, just wanted to see how the wedge felt, what I liked and ultimately the results. Then from the same location to a back pin with 4 different 56 degree wedges, same process. Got a little education about wedge design and the purpose of the bounce, sole, etc and how I should be executing the shot. Honestly, have never had that amount of spin or control on such a short shot, it was incredible

Lastly moved to an elevated area maybe about 50 yards from the same green and hit a few shots from there just to get a feel of a fuller shot.

Took a little over 2 hours, was well worth it

    Hi Mark-

I know you asked Chris about who he worked with for his fitting but I thought I would jump in and let you know my fitter.

Joey Saewitz worked with me for both of my fittings. He was great to work with and I enjoyed the whole experience.

Do they do putter fittings at TPI? I thought they didn't and you need to go to the Cameron store but I know they are no longer doing fittings (last i checked)

John - I completed my fitting on 3/2 with Lucas Bro. OUTSTANDING experience. I can't imagine being fit any other way going forward. I'm in the process of getting my thoughts organized and will post my experience separately, but suffice it to say that you will be glad you did it.
