Scheduled a Team Titleist Fitting Experience session at a local course. I have done Titleist Thursdays before and bought clubs after the fitting as they were available at the course .

Anyone done this type of fitting before ? If so, does the fitter stock clubs that I can purchase ( and leave with ) ?

  2. I have done it once - when I got fitted for my TSR2 driver. The fitter had to order the club. I did not leave with it.

I just scheduled another one in March for hybrids and/or fairway woods.

No. The fitter uses clubs from their fitting kit. They do not carry complete irons and only each driver, fairway, and hybrid heads. The only place you will find stock clubs readily available is on the shelf inside a clubhouse pro shop or an authorized Titleist big box store. The fitter will help you take an order to match the specs from the fitting and apply the fitting fee towards that purchase. Most of the builds are happening much quicker lately as backlogs are minimal at the assembly plant and components are being shipped much quicker. Its a great experience. Enjoy.

Dale, I agree with everything you said, but have a couple additional offerings. I was fitted by Team Titleist Fitter, set-up on the driving range of a beautiful country club in the local area. The TSR3 driver and TSR3 5-wood I was fit into happened to be available in the pro-shop, the head pro was watching the fitting, and with a thumbs-up from the fitter, he sold me both at the member price; a very nice gesture.
While not the norm, the fitter also had a few sets of ready-built irons on hand. I hit the 620MB, and loved them so much that I was fitted and ordered a set of those too!

Never. The shelf clubs never fit me I should be on a first name with the FedEx driver.

Yeah. Same with me with irons - 2up and 1/2 longer. Forgot to mention I am getting a driver fit so most likely TSR 2 maybe 9 or 10 degree with either the hazardous or Tensi stiff - maybe a shorter length which I can do or some heavier weights - up to the fitter for sure but thought I might not be far from one of the standard configs

My last fitting was with Titleist fitter at a local course for my TS3 driver. Weather condition was very cold with a 40 mph wind. But with his trackman everything went fine and I loved the clubs selected.
I will have a new fitting scheduled middle March for Tsr wood. But it is inside and I do not like simulators. The only positive thing it is with a Titleist fitter.
  8. I did a TT fitting last week. Was the best fitting experience I've been to. Was able to get my driver spin down, and also able to keep my preferred shot shape with my irons fitted properly. The Titleist fitter knew how important shot shape was, and having the confidence to go after them was for me since i'm kind of set in my ways of planning for my ball flight. Got fitted for the right TSR2 driver and T200 irons. The T100 I felt required more concentration to hit that pure shot, and I'd rather enjoy my round than worry about my next shot. But so we'll worth the fitting.

Got the driver Monday and irons are due in Friday, so turn around is pretty good.
