  1. I currently own a TSR 1 driver with the 45 3/4"it Mitsubishi speedmesh 40-R2 shaft. Do you sell a comprable shaft in 44" ?

Any driver shaft can be shortened to 44 inches. Ideally you do that with a fitter so that the weighing can be adjusted in the head to offset the loss in the shaft. You also begin to affect the flex so the shorter, the stiffer it will swing. A fitter will also verify that the shorter length is right for you.

Bought at a retail store and not fitted?

Titleist doesn’t upcharge to custom builds a club to non-stock specs. You can order it at 44”. Mine are built at 44-3/4 inches, which is not stock. The weight in the head is +4 g over stock.

The solution is cutting the butt end of the shaft to length. Shafts are built to 48 inches and cut to length by the club builder. Physics of a shorter shaft is the fulcrum isn’t as long so the head will feel lighter. You would need to order a heavier weight for the head than what was placed stock.

If pulling the grip, cutting the shaft, and ordering the weight is not anything you want to do, then a shop that regrips clubs can do this for you and check the swing weight before and after to order the correct weight. If still in warranty you can send it to Titleist but there are service and shipping charges. As well as up to 2 or more weeks w/o the club.
