…Been there, done that. This year optimized the TSR-2 and some TPI fitness magic to get total drives over 200 yards consistently. Last year I was looking at the forward tees as my next step.

I can’t imagine that any golfer with an off the rack driver would not gain 10 yards or more with a Titleist fitter and a TSR driver.

There have been a number of FB posts with a link to Titleists on line driver fitting tool…I’ve used it at least 6 times, using extremely different parameters each time, and EVERY time it suggests the TSR2! Anyone else notice that? I’m guessing they may have an overstock of them or something! LOL…

Even with AI an online fitting tool can do more than suggest a starting point for a fitting. The tool doesn’t see your shot shape, transition, angle of attack, or club head/ball speed. Or even if you preserve the center of the face by hitting off of the entire face. The -2 is a solid club for forgiveness but if you don’t need to maximize that, then other choices may work better.

The ball fitting tool is also likely to recommend a Pro-V line ball. I did a ball fitting of AVX, Pro-V, and Pro-V1x. It came down to 5 yards closer with AVX with driver/7 iron or better stopping power on wedge shots with the X. A couple of thousand more RPM’s compared to the AVX.

All golfers would benefit from a proper fitting, better players will really benefit. My fitter is also a knowledgeable instructor as well, with a good eye for flaws that amplify misses. It makes a difference!

I won't purchase another driving without going through a fitting. I had a great experience with Bill Byrne in WI and was fitted into the TSR4. In short, a driver I would have never thought would fit me I ended up with because I let the numbers tell the story. I even tried all shafts and Bill made sure I made the purchase the best fit my game. I strongly encourage this for any and all players of all skill levels.

Recently had a fitting for TSr and it was great to just talk with the fitter about all things Titleist. Currently gaming a TS3 that I was fitted for at St Ives and it was good to see that it was still performing optimally. He managed to tweak a further 10 yards carry but only a 5 yard overall gain so I didn’t really feel the need to make the upgrade. But I’d always go through the process, you never know what can happen.

This is exciting. I'm doing a club virtual consultation soon and then can't wait to get fit for the driver!

Had an amazing TSR1 Driver fitting at Sewailo GC here in Tucson. Gained 7 yards beyond old TS1 gamer. Great experience!

Had a really good driver and fairway wood fitting with Brian Zimmerman in western PA in late May. Went through a few different heads and shaft combos with the driver and he really got it dialed in so the dispersal pattern got much tighter. It was interesting to see the results when he told me to "go after one" and then "hit the center of the fairway." Same story with the 5 wood, and walking away I thought he really helped me pick the right combo.

It took a few weeks to get both clubs, and I was anxious to get out and use them. Driver length and accuracy was as good as I expected it, and the fairway wood was ok too - I say just ok because I really didn't have a chance to use it as much for the next few rounds. It's been a month of no rain in Ohio and as long as I can get it in the fairway, the ball is still running like crazy.

So long story short, I was very happy with my fitting experience and would recommend it to anyone. I can see myself going back in the next few years to upgrade my irons when the time comes.

Got the email and signed up for a fitting with the new T series Irons here in Southern CA. Couldn't resist even though I'm currently upgrading the top of bag (driver, fairway and hybrid) and not necessarily ready for irons yet. The cost was $100 but would be applied towards a purchase, if any.

Got paired up with Ben Russell, based in AZ but brought in to help with the launch. Talked with him about my game, likes & dislikes and dreams & wishes and also that I can be a difficult fit because I'm swing weight sensitive that a fitter can't always account for in a fitting.

After hitting through the new T100 & T150, my preferred clubs, Ben slid in the T200 (WOW - FYI notable changes from the previous model). But even more importantly he noticed that I was fighting to not hook the ball. Past fittings from local reps and TPI full bag day - I was always Std or slightly Upright lie angle. Ben had me try 2* Flat and it made all the difference! I've been making some swing changes this summer but didn't expect that to be a part of it. Right after had my current T100S bent to 2* Flat, took them to the range and yep, that's the ticket.

Summary = Even if you've been fit before, as we improve, get stronger or just get older, our swings will change and a custom fitting can really help you keep up. On the plus side, we also tested a new 4hybrid and I applied the credit towards the purchase.

Thanks Ben and Titleist, the summer just got a lot more fun!

I was fitted for my TSR2 driver last fall. At the time, I knew I was on to something special. But this season, my goodness what a club!! My buddies comment that it is easily the best club in my bag - even mishits are amazingly straight and reasonably long.

I can’t stress enough the value in getting fit. If left to my own devices, I was fixated on the TSR3, but the results of the fitting clearly showed it was not the club for me.

Our local Titleist fitter, Andy Inman, has had a major, positive impact on my game. I’m sure your local fitter will do the same for you.

So last week i got an email from Titleist that they are having a fitting event at my local store. So took all your advice and get another fitting for my 10 deg TSR3 driver which i was fitted but thru one of the sales associates (which was free - i guess i know now why).

I have been hesitant all these years to pay for a REAL fitting, but wow i was blown away and it was all worth it. I tested a couple of different heads from TSR2, 3 & 4. And ended up with better numbers on an 8 deg TSR3! Never in my wildest dreams would i buy or even test out an 8 deg driver but i guess with the proper shaft and head combo, you will be amazed at what a fitter can do... MAGIC!

I have lowered my backspin from 3800 to 2500 and have gain additional 20 yards! So the lesson here is if you are on the fence about paying for REAL fitting (in lieu of the free store fitting), i am a living testament that it is all worth the money and go for it. The Titleist fitters are MAGICIANS...thank you!
