If they were built by Titleist, they are already at standard swing weight, unless specified otherwise. If the shafts were installed by someone else, you'd be better off having it checked professionally, unless you know what the swing weight was originally.

1/2 inch over equals 3 swing weight points and 2 grams added to the head increases swing weight 1 point so you woud need 6 grams of lead tape. There is a common misunderstanding that when a club is ordered over/under standard length that Titleist adjusts swing weight back to standard.

I had Titleist confirm several yeats ago that when they receive an order for under/over length clubs they do not adjust swing weight back to their standard swing weight as they can't make assumptions as to why the customer has chosen that length adjustments- they just don't know the customer's intent. The same applies if one orders with a shaft which is over or under the standard weight shaft for a particuar club model.

If Titleist built them to that length, the SW was adjusted in the build.

As per my comments above Titleist has confirmed that they do not adjust swing weight when clubs are ordered at non-standard lengths as they do not know the customers intent- they will not assume that the customer wants adjustment back to standard. If the customer wants a swing weight adjustment they must request it- either to standard or a preferred swing weight.

As stated above, Titleist would have built them to a D2 swingweight (standard) unless ordered differently.

Over the years, I've determined I like a D4/D5 swingweight and have noticed it takes about 2" of lead tape to increase about 2 swingweights (from D2 to D4). The great thing with lead tape, if it feels too lite = just add more until it's where you like it. You can always remove and try again if your feels change down the road.

    Good luck on your journey!
  7. Based on a chat yesterday on their website, Titleist only adjusts the head weight (to get to D2) for orders 1" longer/shorter. I have the same issue with my T200 3i - it's D1. If tape is added to the back, it's pretty far back from the hitting the surface on that club design. Titleist probably would have added that weight inside. I'll be curious to see if performance is different (than without the tape.)
