  1. I have recently been fitted for T150 Irons (6-GW), T200 5 Iron and TSR2 driver. I thought of using an old TM hybrid for my 4i gap as during fitting it performed ok we didnt see point in changing. However since then I have picked up a Titleist 818 H1 21 degree hybrid with same Blue Tensei shaft as my driver. It has come with 16g Draw/Fade weight but ive picked up a weight kit from Ebay. My question is what does using a lighter or heavier weight affect ball flight/distance? or is it all more swing weight difference?

Those weights, both the draw/fade and neutral weight are the same amount of weight. Higher or lower weights primarily affect the swing weight since the weight port is fairly center. If the port was located at the back end, adding weight would increase MOI and nominally increase launch.
  3. Thanks for the reply Don.
Makes sense and most of what I know.
the weight on 818 H1 is near the front so what difference would heavier or lighter weight make on the MOI and launch based on where its based?

If you look at drivers with multiple or sliding weights, adding weights or sliding the weight to the rear increases MOI. Moving weight to the front will decrease spin but will require better control of the face by swing technique.
The 818 weight is not all that far forward nor is the placement changed by changing the weight. So the option is really only to increase fade/draw by moving the heavier ended weight (draw/fade weight) to the toe/heel or changing the swing weight by using a lighter/heavier weight set.
To increase MOI, you can consider adding lead tape to the rear of the head. Jacob Knapp adds tape to his driver on the toe to fight going left. If the pros do it….good enough for me.

As I’ve aged into my 70’s, the TSR - 1 hybrids have a larger head and weighted to the rear. The increased MOI launches higher and straighter than the 818 it replaced.
