  1. What are the Titelist Golf balls I have seen in Golf Galaxy that are referenced as "EXP"? Are these new balls that Titelist is having people try? I heard that the last ball to be labeled as such became the AVX.

EXP was/is an experiment to sell prototype balls to consumers. No promise if they will become the next Pro-V or another line. Or may just end as an extinct line extension. Titleist may still be taking feedback if you purchase a box.

They still have the link from the box up, so apparently they are still interested in feedback. It's a very interesting ball to play.

Could be the EXP*01 prototypes that they have been testing for the past ten months thru various avenues. They will be released on August 7th as the new Tour Speed ball.

"The Titleist Tour Speed is a three-piece thermoplastic urethane (TPU) covered ball designed to deliver distance and greater green stopping power. Titleist still believes that a cast urethane cover like those found on the Pro-V1 series offers the absolute best short game control and performance, but TPU allows them to combine enhanced distance with precise scoring control. The TPU formula used in the cover is proprietary and was formulated from scratch by Titleist’s internal team of R&D chemists to enhance distance while still maintaining feel. The last piece of the cover puzzle is the new 346 quadrilateral dipyramid dimple design that provides a lower, more penetrating flight, so the ball is less affected by the wind. Underneath the TPU cover sits a what Titleist calls its fastest ionomer casing layer ever, designed to create maximum speed leading to more distance."

They are now available on this site.
  5. Do they disclose the specs on their EXP balls when they're in that phase?

When I was actually considering switching from my Tour Soft 2018 to Pro V1 or V1X, the Tour Speed is launched. I had always stayed away from Velocity and AVX, but after doing the 'Golf Ball Selector' for the 20th time, guess what? The result comes out to be... Titleist Tour Speed. Now, I need to go to a TPI and get properly fitted. I want to get a new set of iron (T-series) too.

Life is short and I better keep on doing something that I love: golf.
