  1. I know it's hard enough to get 2020 ProV1s but it's been 2 years so the newest models must be dropping soon. Any body get any test balls yet ? Also, anybody have any info. on the latest (2021) models and any changes ?

I believe in years past, they were released around November. However, given Covid-19 i would imagine there is going to be some sort of delay nor have I heard of any test ball release. I'd be interested in this release as well.
  3. i wouldn’t mind trying their new ball if they get released this year 2021

In past cycles, large late testing trials occurred in October. Prototypes for feedback would have been done in May or June. The release is generally at the PGA Show in January. In normal years. No news this cycle yet. I have missed the last few cycles, but by the end of October, playing in the 40's in WI doesn't allow adequate testing anyway.

It will be interesting to see if the V gets a little firmer at the request of the pro's now that softer urethane options exist with the AVX and the Tour Speed.
  5. Love the AVX!

Do they typically update the entire Pro V line (X, left dash) at the same time?

ProV1 and ProV1x. The "left dash" was a limited tour-only until the recent release. If sales for the current version are high enough, they may make a new version for public release but not likely at the same time as the two major product lines. It would be too big of a disruption during the large production switchover of the main balls. My opinion anyway... no hidden microphones in the executive offices.

  10. Had a chance to test out the new for 2021 New ProV1x and as a regular user of the ProV1x line I was really excited about the major improvements.

First, the ball has a slightly higher launch angle than the current version. I noticed this both off the tee and the longer irons.

Second. it was actually softer than the current version. This really was noticeable when putting which I was very excited about.

Third, the spin rate around the green for chipping and on approach shots for "stopping" power was increased slightly. This really was great on pitches about 50 yards out where I could have two bounces and immediate stopping power. Great improvement!

Bottomline, this ball is going to be in my ball next year without question. It still has the same durability, and other great features! I just wanted to point out a few big positive changes. I did not notice any negative aspects.

    Cheers, Chris

  11. I am 74...I was a +2 when I was young now a 12 from the up tees...yet I still play the Pro V1X...there is no ball that spins as well from 50 yards and in...even if your down to a 85mph swing speed it is still notably longer off the tee than these so called softer balls...which are not as good for those impossible short game shots...if you still hit the ball reasonably solid no matter your speed play Pro V1X....that's my 2 cents....

Great Notes! I will have to update accordingly as all of those changes you noted would be helpful to my game
  13. I spoke with a couple of players that had been testing the ball and they indicated it had a slightly higher launch, more spin around the greens and was slightly softer in feel.

    Hope that helps,
    Chris

Sounds like a ball I would like.

Always looking forward to a new Pro V1. The possibility of higher launch, more green side spin and softer feel versus current model (from Chris92009 above). Sounds like a winner to me.

If the launch is a little higher on the new ProV1x I wonder if it will also be a little higher on the ProV1? I would think that they would not want that gap to widen any further. I currently play the V1x, but it launches as high as I would like. Any higher and I may have to revisit the V1. I like the sound of a little higher spin around the greens and a touch softer off the putter.

Just saw a post of twitter that the 2021 ProV1 and ProV1x will be going into play at Shriners this week. Anxious to see if the profiles have changed like they did for the 2019s.
  20. Titleist, want to give TT a preview of the changes ? Come on .....

Looking forward to hearing about the new performance changes. Hard to make a better ball than the ProV1, and they manage to do it every time.

I just bought a bunch of Pro V1s at a pretty good price. Forgot that a new model was about to be available! In all seriousness, I am excited to try out the new Pro V1X, thanks so much for the insider information.
  25. Really impressed with the whole line. While the X is my main ball, this fall I've been quite pleased with the AVX as well. Greens at my usual course with a clay base get quite firm at times during the year and any improvements to spin/stopping power with the two new balls would certainly be welcomed in my bag.

If the launch of the new X is higher with a little less spin with the driver it is left dash. Curious to hear if there is a new 2021 version of the left dash or just updates to the ProV1 and X. Cant wait to hear more details

Does anyone know if the left dash gets updated or it stays the custom ball that was created in 18? Will be curious what changes they make to the X and if I go back to it for the firmer feel putting and chipping or if I stay with the left dash that has lower spin off the driver

Well, the left dash was created for players who like the characteristics of that ball. So what would be the point of changing it?

  30. Yes, I have no hearing about the new ball and would also be interested in the test balls.
