  1. I can't seem to find any prov1 practice balls anymore. Have they been discontinued or is this because of some other reason?

I doubt the supply has been limited. Basically these are the balls that don’t make through the last inspection. With the marked increase in golf rounds, that is putting pressure on supply lines. Pulling balls that pass on inspection and labeling them as practice to sell for a lower price won’t happen. Keep checking local and internet sites for the next shipment.

X-outs are another alternative. The sporting goods chains will often have them. Just not eligible for tournaments.

They normally can only be ordered through a Titleist rep by a wholesale account. The package is 20 dozen. They are first quality balls, they are very commonly used for fittings and by Tour players for practice.
  5. I have come across two types of Tilleist practice balls: Pro V1 & Tour ... anyone know the difference? I have also seen X-Out practice balls...

I do not know this for sure, only speculating, but the “Tour” lineup might be the rejected Tour Speed ball.

I have seen Pro-V1 and Pro-V1x balls with the word TOUR stamped in red on the ball. All are numbered "1".

Are these formerly used on driving ranges by the Pros at tournaments? ....One way to prevent Tin Cup from pocketing a few for use in play....

Here in O’Fallon, MO the have the “Practice” balls at Golf Discount for $29.99
At Golf Galaxy they have the “Reload” balls for $29.99

From what I see online, I would suggest “Practice” over “Reload”. It sounds like the reload balls could have cuts/scrapes, and other more significant damage/changes to the ball. It sounds like the practice lineup is more just appearance/looks as a problem.

Walmart also shows they sell the “Practice” lineup for $28.99
The golf discount by me does offer a First Responder discount as well if you fit that category

The practice balls at Walmart read as follows: Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls, Used, Practice Quality, 12 Pack. RockBottomGolf.com carries the Provs that have the Practice stamped on them by the dozen, are currently out but also have three dozen bags of recycled and refinished Titleist balls.
  11. Oh is that right? I thought they were tournaments?

I did check and confirmed that a dozen of "ProV1 Practice" balls can be any assortment of ProV1 lineups; ProV1, ProV1x, Left Dash. Stores that do sell the Practice ball are only allowed a set allotment per year. So, once their store sells out, that's it for the year.
Player feedback was "don't think twice, they are amazing and exactly the same ball/performance".
However, DO NOT get "Reload" packed balls. These are used, refinished ProV1's done by a 3rd party unrelated to Titleist.

I found some in Albuquerque when I was playing in a tournament. I bought 3 dozen because I had not seen them for a few months either. I use them at my golf course practice area and they work great.
